After more than 20 years in healthcare leadership, I’m now expanding my career into one-on-one counselling. My experience in congregate living and hospice care has given me a deep appreciation for the realities of grief, loss, and trauma - my understanding of which I bring into my work with clients.
As a mother of two teenagers, and through my own journey as a breast cancer survivor, I value the importance of connection, resilience, and compassionate support. I strive to create a safe, welcoming space where clients can feel heard and understood.
I am particularly interested in integrating holistic approaches into my practice, including physical movement, yoga, and mindfulness, where these align with clients’ preferences and goals.
I look forward to connecting with you!

Kayla Lafontaine
Hi, I am Kayla!
I am a Registered Social Service Worker and Psychotherapist with the OCSWSSW. My goal is to create a space where you can feel comfortable being yourself. A space where you feel like you can talk openly, feel heard, and know that you are not being judged. I work collaboratively with my clients to better understand what is going on, build practical coping tools that feels realistic in everyday life.
The approach I take is informed by my training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and my training as a certified yoga teacher. I draw on both traditional and mind-body approaches, recognizing that there is no single path to healing and growth
I know that reaching out for support can be a really vulnerable step, and I a committed to meeting each client with compassion, authenticity, and respect. Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, or simply going through a difficult season of life, you are not expected to have everything figured out before coming to therapy.
I believe that every person already has strengths within them. Sometimes we just need a little extra support, a perspective shift, and the right tools to reconnect with them
I look forward to walking alongside you on your journey.

Hi! I am Michelle, a registered social worker practicing in the City of Greater Sudbury and anywhere around in Ontario virtually.
I have been practicing as a social worker for over 14 years and have worked in many settings such as child protection, women’s advocacy, shelter environments, school based programs, as well as clinical counselling specifically in mental health.
During my years of practice, I have found my passion in trauma care and have found an immense satisfaction guiding individuals towards healing from acute and historical trauma.
I enjoy connecting with people and supporting their individual needs with anything mental health related, parenting support and trauma informed attachment rebuilding.
I would be honoured to connect with you and support you on your path to healing and/or growth.
A little more personally, I am a wife, a mom of two and enjoy being by the water! I love all animals, however I am in love with all cats!

Pascal Cyr
Hi, I’m Pascal, a Social Worker and therapist passionate about supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families through life’s challenges with compassion, authenticity, and practical support. I believe therapy works best when people feel genuinely seen, heard, and safe to show up as themselves without judgment.
As a father of two, I understand firsthand how complex life can feel at times; balancing responsibilities, relationships, parenting, stress, work, and personal wellbeing. That perspective shapes the way I connect with clients: with empathy, honesty, patience, and a focus on creating meaningful, real-world change rather than just talking about problems.
My professional background includes work in child and youth mental health, residential treatment, crisis support, family services, and clinical supervision. Over the years, I’ve supported children, teens, adults, and caregivers navigating anxiety, depression, feeling overwhelmed, stress, burnout, relationship challenges, self-esteem difficulties, behavioural concerns, parenting struggles, life transitions, and emotional regulation difficulties. I have a strong interest in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), mindfulness and holistic based approaches, and practical skill-building strategies that help clients better understand themselves, manage emotions effectively, and build healthier relationships with themselves and others.
My approach to therapy is collaborative, down-to-earth, and strengths-based. I aim to create a comfortable and supportive environment where clients can be themselves, explore challenges openly, and work toward goals that feel meaningful to them. Whether someone is feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or simply looking for personal growth and support, my goal is to help clients feel more confident, capable, and understood throughout the process.

I recognize that every individual’s experiences are unique, and I work collaboratively with clients to build on existing strengths, develop coping strategies, and create meaningful change.
